A tattoo flash sheet: Fraktur titles on drawn red ribbons, swallows either side of the name, red prices, two columns on the big sheets. Set in Haskoy and Unormative Fraktur.

A hotel dining room's menu typed onto the house letterhead: typewriter dishes and prices on dotted leaders, Caslon italic descriptions, laid paper. Set in Compagnon, Libre Caslon Text and Geist Mono.

A modernist programme on a field of fine crosses: big lowercase pixel headings in orange-red at the margin, dishes hung a third of the way in. Set in Geist Pixel Grid and Geist.

Portuguese tiles: a cobalt tile border on glazed white, heavy painted serif heads in cobalt, a clear modern serif for the dishes. Set in Bagnard and Literata.

A pink Memphis-style card: spiky hand-cut heads over coloured squiggles, a confetti border, every price on a yellow pill. Two columns on A4 and Letter. Set in Anthony and Jost.

A supper club's menu as a letter from the host: script heads written into the margin, a calm serif for the courses, a deckled lilac card. Set in Interlope and Spectral.

Viennese coffee-house card: Art Nouveau italic heads inside a black-and-white checker border, gold square leaders, clean geometric text. Set in Feroniapi and Jost.

Paris Métro Nouveau: verdigris ground, the name on a cream enamel band, amber rules to the measure, prices after an em dash. Set in Feroniapi and Newsreader.

A centred tasting menu on white: Art Nouveau italic heads in beetroot, calm book type, and a drawn stem with a leaf between courses. Set in Feroniapi and Literata.

A church hymn board: gilt blackletter heads on limewash, and every price slotted in as a dark oak number card at the head of its line. Set in Unormative Fraktur and Cooper Hewitt.

A Futurist broadside: hand-cut heads thrown at angles, heavy black bars, prices in red on newsprint. Set in Anthony and Geist.

A tarot card: numbered sections in yellow cartouches, prices in red, all inside a black and yellow card frame with blue corners. Set in Basteleur and Geist.
